PnB Rock was senselessly murdered in 2022 during a robbery in California, and a jury found two of the three people involved guilty of all charges in the trial. Freddie Trone has been found guilty of sending his teenage son to rob and then shoot PnB Rock inside a popular soul restaurant.
Rolling rock reports that Freddie Trone, 46, ordered his son, then 17, into Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles in South Los Angeles after being told by Tremont Jones, 46, that PnB Rock and his fiancee Stephanie Sibounheuang entered the diner.
Under Trone's orders, the masked teenager confronted the Philadelphia artist demanding his jewelry while threatening Sibounheuang, saying, “If you don't give me the jewelry, I'm going to blow her head off,” court testimony heard.
After nine days of testimony, the jury found Trone guilty of one count of felony murder, two counts of robbery and one count of conspiracy. Jones was found guilty of two counts of robbery and one count of conspiracy. Trone's son, now 19, was found incompetent to stand trial and is still being held in a juvenile facility.
Deana Allen, the mother of PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen, offered a statement to Rolling rock after the sentencing hearing in a Compton, California court.
“I'm excited. I wanted to jump up and scream, “Hallelujah.” I'm so glad it was quick. We have justice for Rakim. I feel better knowing that they will be in prison for a long time.”
PnB Rock was 30.
