Dolly Parton has released four new songs to celebrate her 78th birthday.
The country music icon has dropped four new tracks as part of the deluxe version of her latest album, Rockstar, to celebrate her birthday.
“Hey fans and friends, It’s my birthday so I’m going to give you a present!” she wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday.
“I’m releasing four never released songs for my birthday, to go with the Rockstar album, and a few others that you may have heard before that were not on the album,” Dolly continued. “I hope you enjoy them, and I hope you all have a happy birthday for me! LOL.”
The Jolene hitmaker concluded, “Thanks for everything, Dolly.”
The performer captioned the post, “Surprise! Stream Rockstar Deluxe wherever you get your music.”
Rockstar, Dolly’s forty-ninth studio album, was released in November last year. The album consists of 20 covers featuring stars such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks and Miley Cyrus, as well as nine original tracks.
“I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar!” Dolly stated in a press release ahead of the release of the album. “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.”
Rockstar (Deluxe) is available now.
