The 2024 Grammy Awards take place on Sunday, February 4th. Taylor Swift, SZA, Phoebe Bridgers, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Miley Cyrus are among this year’s notable nominees.
Taylor Swift is up for six Grammys, including Album of the Year for Midnights. “Anti-Hero” is nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, while her collaboration with Ice Spice, “Karma,” is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Swift has won 12 Grammys to date, including three Album of the Year trophies for Fearless, 1989, and folklore. If Midnights does prove victorious, she will become the first artist to win Album of the Year four times.
SZA leads all of this year’s nominees as she is contention for a total of nine Grammys. Her album, SOS, is nominated for Album of the Year, and “Kill Bill” is up for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Additionally, her collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers, “Ghost in the Machine,” is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Bridgers is nominated eight times, including seven for her work with boygenius. The group also featuring Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker earned an Album of the Year nomination for their debut album, the record, while their song “Not Strong Enough” is nominated for Record of the Year.
Rodrigo is up for six Grammys; her sophomore LP, GUTS, in nominated for Album of the Year and “Vampire” is up for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Perhaps most interesting, Rodrigo’s “Ballad of a Homeschool Girl” is nominated for Best Rock Song alongside The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, and Queens of the Stone Age.
The majority of the 2024 Grammys will be handed out during the Premiere Ceremony, a pre-show telecast held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. PT on Sunday. The event will stream live on YouTube.
The main telecast will air on CBS and Paramount+ beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT, hosted by Trevor Noah live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
