After seeing that memorable live performance, the recorded version of “Rockit” (as well as the album it comes from, Future impact) became an all-time favorite for the budding producer. Ant reflects on the personal importance of the song, why it inspired him to master the scratching techniques he displayed, and how strange it was that the song became a hit.
“The idea of that becoming a success, how was that possible?” he says. “It's practically impossible to have an instrumental hit, you know? Not to mention something that sounded like that.”
