Hydraulix has never been one to be held back by regulations. His latest EP, Nervesfinds the bass virtuoso producing a genre-defying package ready for festival season.
Returning to what quickly became his home in Wakaan,Nervescaptures the versatile essence of Hydrualix. Hydraulix has seemingly honed his ability to seed his sound into anything he plays, creating unique soundscapes for himself by weaving together various genres, from drum & bass to nostalgic trap.
“Anxious” (featuring Maksim) adopts a bass sound effortlessly blended with grime verses, while “All Eyes” picks up the tempo, infusing wobbly synths with hypnotic vocal samples. The EP closes with “Click Clack” (featuring NIKA D) but takes an approach that most wouldn't expect. Channeling your inner Jack Ü, Hydraulix combines distorted horns with swinging bass.
Hydraulix continues to defy genres with its distinctive sound, refusing to be blocked by barriers. Following the 2021 debut album, imposter syndromecontinued to build on the sound that paved the way for his career.
