If it is to be believed, Vultures 2the follow-up to the Billboard 200 number one album Vultures 1is set to be released on Friday, May 3rd. But just in case the album doesn't hit streamers by the end of this week, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Ty have delivered a video for Vultures 1His third single, “Talking,” to keep fans fed up.
Following the muted black and gray tones developed for the group's overall aesthetic, the video is similar to the other visuals the duo has offered thus far with one big (or small) exception: North West takes center stage. Not only does Ye's eldest daughter make an impressive appearance, but also as the video's writer and director. Aus Taylor, who has worked with Ye in the past and photographed the album covers Vultures 1 & 2credited as co-director.
The video follows North as she performs her beloved verse in various locations: a basketball court, a boxing ring, on a court standing next to a vulture (because, of course), dangling from the roof of a sports car. , and in a dining room with friends. Then the beat changes and Ty takes over, singing the last part of the song dubbed “Once Again”. The video cuts to Ye standing on top of a mountain as clouds roll in and a vulture flies above him.
Released on February 10th after many delays, Vultures 1 managed to top the Billboard 200 despite controversy surrounding its distribution. On February 15, FUGA, the label that originally distributed the album, released a statement saying it was working to remove the album from streaming services because its release violated its terms of service. The album was eventually re-released through Label Engine and spawned the No. 1 Hot 100 single “Carnival” featuring Rich the Kidd and Playboi Carti.
