The fallout from Sean “Diddy” Combs being exposed as an alleged abuser continues to reverberate throughout Hip-Hop culture. Tahiry Jose and Joe Budden went back and forth on social media after the latter basically called the podcaster turned hypocrite after slamming Diddy.
Context is essential here, and we must provide a warning to survivors of domestic violence.
It is a fact that Joe Budden has been accused of domestic violence by at least three of his ex-girlfriends. model Esther Baxter, social media influencer Tahiry Jose and reality star Cyn Santana. Despite the allegations made against him, he has categorically denied ever abusing the aforementioned women, has not been convicted of doing so in court, and there is no video of him assaulting any of the women.
Still, the controversy that followed raised many eyebrows when he apologized to Diddy who had been criticized (he even called him a “lying sack of shit”) after video was released showing the mogul assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway. back in 2016.
Regardless of Budden being critical of DIddy, Tahiry Jose sent a comment The Shade Room's reposted his reaction and again accused the 'Pump It Up' rapper of being abusive.
“FOH, who??? The irony. This is so touching!!!!! I remember Joey throwing me down a flight of stairs and dragging me back into the house and I had to tell him to let me go,” she wrote in the comments.
He added, “It took me out of it. So hard to watch. So I feel sorry for Cassie and every other woman who is going through this or has ever gone through it. It's hard.”
Eventually, Joe Budden responded and denied being abusive and accused Tahiry of being a gold digger. “@therealtharya you are a lying, failed gold digger who has abused, targeted and manipulated many men. You lack an identity outside of me and that's why you've been desperately trying to cling to me for over 15 years,” he wrote in the comments.
He added, “I had to ask the producers to keep you away from us like the cancer you are!! Yet you continue to disparage my name on the internet because…it's your identity. I'm not talking to you or about you because it's a low vibration. You are a low level Dyckman con that she has been lying about (you already know) for years. I pray you heal and move on one day, I hope this is our last exchange. Prayers to all the real victims.”
As usual, Budden pulls the timelines up and down, but obviously. has been fighting this type of tobacco for years.
Tahiry also said: “@joebudden You can say ANYTHING you want about me! Those who know me know!!!! I'm not afraid of you anymore. You can continue to bully by bullying others. Those who know you and are around you also know the truth. I'm sorry they continue to allow your behavior. Your time is coming!”
