Kelly Osbourne regrets quitting music and is haunted by the prospect of what could have been had she carried on.
The 39-year-old reality star enjoyed chart success in the early noughties as she unleashed two albums and a string of singles.
She even enjoyed a number one smash in 2003 when she teamed up with her father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, for a duet version of his classic tune, Changes.
Reflecting on her past music career, Kelly says she now deeply regrets throwing it all away, explaining on The Osbournes podcast, “I’ve definitely thought about it and what life would have been like if I hadn’t stopped. It’s definitely a regret. Will I do anything about that regret? I don’t know.”
Kelly, who last released music in 2005, blames other work commitments for forcing her to quit her singing career.
She said, “I was doing so much TV, I was doing so much touring, so much publicity and so many interviews and I wanted to go out and have fun. I didn’t want it to be all work and no play.
“I also covered up a lot of my insecurity and a lot of the nay-saying and comparisons and just s**t-talking with drugs. I was not myself with it. It kind of went hand in hand, and I had to choose myself over all of that. Not to get so dark.”
