Megan Thee Stallion has welcomed another member of the Hot Girl crew. It all started over the weekend when American athlete Jordan Childs called out the Houston rapper after he threw her a ticket to Paris when she was selected as part of the American team. “That was for you uncle and Megan, I'm going to AHH-Olympians!” Chiles said with a huge smile as she spoke to reporters, using one of Meg's signature catchphrases to mark the moment.
Meghan responded to the video, writing in X, “my girl,” followed by four blue heart emojis.
Chiles, who won a silver medal with Team USA in 2021 at the pandemic-delayed Tokyo Games, found herself behind presumed team favorite Simone Biles as well as Sunisa Lee in the team trials. On Wednesday, Chiles shared on her Story that Meghan sent her a congratulatory bouquet of flowers, writing, “@theestallion I'm literally crying [crying emoji] man thank you so much these flowers are so beautiful!!” in screen grabs posted by fans.
In a previous interview, Childs explained that she is a fan of Meghan's music and that the rapper's tunes were her inspiration while preparing for the auditions. “The whole time we were getting ready we were vibrating, listening to music, you know, Megan, Beyoncé, GloRilla. Every girl artist you can think of was showing up,” she said. “And I said, 'You know what? If these girls can kill like that, I can go out there and kill like them.”
In June, Chiles posted an IG Story with her first personal meeting with Megan, since before failing to meet her musical hero at last year's Essence festival of Culture.
The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics will take place on July 26, with the games running until August 11.
