Cash Cobain is up to his old antics again.
The Bronx rapper and producer is known to post snippets of songs he makes on social media. Sometimes liberates the final product, sometimes it doesn't. So there's no telling if she'll ever officially drop Laila's viral remix!It's not my problem” song. But that doesn't matter because a bunch of artists have already recorded lyrics to his remix. Laila! went viral when he played “It's not my problem” and “Like this“on On the radar. The latter went viral on TikTok creating a dance meme thanks to a fan with the username Madozilla.
Memes aside, I was glad to finally put a face to the “Like this” song. I've seen people posting this dance all over the place and I've always been curious as to who did the song. Sometimes you have to do a little digging because people manipulate these songs and you never realize they might have a rap verse or two until you look for yourself. And not only Laila! she raps and sings, makes all her own beats.
These remixes of 'Not My Problem' remind me of dancehall, where you'd have a lot of different artists taking a riddim and adding their own flavor to it, sometimes making something completely different. Lenky's Dancehall producer Diwali Riddim comes to mind, with Wayne Wonder, Lumidee and Sean Paul each made popular songs using the same beat in 2003.
My sources tell me that Cash is thinking of either doing a mega mix, like a Slizzy “We Are the World,” or he can keep releasing the clips as he gets them.
