Nancy Wilson, Lita Ford & Sheila E. Set for the 3rd Annual Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp

The third annual women-only Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp will take place December 5-8 in Los Angeles and will feature rock legends Nancy Wilson (Heart), Lita Ford (The Runaways), Sheila E. (Prince ), Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper) and Rhonda Smith (Jeff Beck).

“Rock Fantasy Camp for Women is a meaningful gathering of women together. As a soldier I never felt limited by my gender,” says Wilson Advertising sign. “Encouraging women to exercise their power outside of narrow gender expectations is always a gratifying job for me.”

The capacity for the camp is approximately 80 campers divided into up to 14 bands. Each band is assigned a mentor who guides them throughout the four days and helps prepare the musicians for the closing concert where they play with rock headliners at the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip. The advisors themselves are a constellation of heavy hitters, including Roxy Petrucci (Vixen), Eva Gardner (P!nk), Jennie Vee (Eagles of Death Metal), Julia Lage (Vixen), Jennifer Oberle (Sarah McLachlan) and Britt Lightning ( Vixen), who also serves as the event's musical director.

The camp is open to musicians of all levels, who are pre-assessed to make sure they are placed in the right band, and each participant is sent a song list to begin rehearsal. The four days are filled with rehearsals, masterclasses, Q&As and jam sessions.

This year's event will also feature a panel of top female music executives, presented by Advertising signwhich serves as media sponsor of Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp.

“The Women's Rock Camps have been some of the most supportive and uplifting camps I've seen in my 28 years of producing Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp,” says the producer. David Fishoff. “The way these women are able to bond and be completely open about things without judgment allows everyone to walk away with such joy and increased confidence. After noticing this, I realized it would be a shame not to continue producing the annual Women's Rock Camps.”

Lightning adds, “Campers make lifelong friends and, most importantly, create a network of like-minded women from around the world. The sense of community is overwhelming and inspires not only the campers but also the talent and allows dreams to come true in music and beyond.”

Fishof has run the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp for more than 25 years, and rock star participants include Roger Daltrey, Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Joe Tyler, Slash, Paul Stanley and Sammy Hagar.
