Myke Towers talks about the making of his new album 'LA PANTERA NEGRA,' his North American tour tied to the album, his work on “ADIVINO” with Bad Bunny, his collaboration with Peso Pluma and Benny Blanco on his new album, and more!
We're playing Tetris with our Billboard cover star, Myke Towers. How's it going, buddy?
What's up, bro?
So we had to talk about it. 'THE BLACK PANTHER', or, as I can say it better, 'Black Panther'.
Yes, but you did well. You did well.
Thank you. I try, I try. So tell me, why the album? Black PantherWhy the name?
First of all, I feel like I'm a superhero whenever I'm acting or in the studio, when it comes time to do what I do, it's like putting on the suit.
You said when you did the cover that this album was like a return to who you are musically. What do you feel you left behind that you're bringing back here?
I think I've gotten a little bit away from the lyrical side of things. It's what I like to do, but I was trying to grow as an artist and figure out what else I can do. You know, sometimes you have to go back to the bottom and feel like you have to start over.
I feel like you always stay true to your roots, whether it's reggaeton rap, obviously, other genres, but you also experiment a lot. How do you feel? Have you experimented a bit on this album?
Keep watching to learn more!
