For all those who thought about the era Brat it's over with summer Charli XCX I would like you to reconsider.
On Friday (October 11), Charli unveiled her long-awaited remix album, Brat and it's totally different but still Brat. Remake of all 15 songs from the original album (and an extra song from its deluxe version Brat and It's the Same, but there are three other songs, so it's not) the pop singer teams up with an all-star guest list of fellow pop luminaries create a completely different (but also Brat) sound.
Some of the guests and their respective songs have already been released, including; Billie Eilish (“Guess”), Lorde (“Girl, So Confused”) and Troye Sivan (“Talk Talk”). As for the rest of the guests, Charli revealed her latest set of collaborators using a series of billboards across the US before finally revealing the full tracklist earlier this week, including Ariana Grande (“Sympathy Is a Knife”), Tinashe ( “B2b” ), Caroline Polachek (“Everything is Romantic”) and The 1975 (“I Might Say Something Stupid”).
In a recent interview with of Apple Music Zane Lowe, Charli revealed that the album's minimalist, green branding was born out of a fear that the album would not perform well. “The real first idea to do a text cover came from saving money. I was like, 'This album isn't going to attract a lot of people,'” he explained. “I was like, 'I think I'll do a press shoot and then maybe we'll save on the album cover.'
