Kendrick Lamar still has some axes to grind.
Rapper Compton surprised everyone by releasing his sixth studio album, GNXand he mentioned a bunch of things. Some of the more notable topics he touched on were Lil Wayne and his friends being upset that Lamar was chosen by Jay-Z and the NFL to headline the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show and Snoop Dogg reposting his diss song Drake “Taylor Made Freestyle” even thought he was confused by the Toronto rapper using an AI version of his voice.
In the second verse “wacced out murals” he raps, “Used to bump Carter IIII kept my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down,” referring to the New Orleans rapper who posted a video about how hurt he was that he wasn't chosen to headline the Super Bowl in his hometown.
He then addressed his OG, rapping, “Snoop put out 'Taylor Made,' I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn't believe it, it was right for me to let it go.” And he also mentioned another legend, revealing that he was the only one who showed him love after he announced he was headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show, saying: “He won the Super Bowl and He was the only one who congratulated me.”
For what it's worth, Snoop recently credited Kendrick while he was at it Drink Champs for the unification of the West and he he tweeted showed today that it was indeed the edibles that got him to post “Taylor Made” and referred to Kenny as the “West West King.”
