On the latest Billboard 200 album chart (dated November 30), three K-pop (Korean pop) albums are simultaneously in the top 10 for the first time.
of ATEEZ GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2 debut at no. 1, Jin's Happy debut at no. 4 and of ENHYPEN ROMANCE: UNTOLD re-enters the chart at No. 7 after an extended reissue (following an earlier debut and peaking at No. 2 in July).
Overall this year, of the 97 different albums that have charted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 (through the November 30 chart), 17 of them have been K-pop titles. Three of them topped the chart, and all debuted at the top of the list: GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2Stray Kids' ATE (August 3 chart) and TWICE's Together with YOU (March 9 chart).
Also, earlier in 2024, on the Billboard 200 dated August 3, K-pop first held the No. 1 and 2. That week, Stray Kids' ATE and Jimin's MUSE debuted at No. 1 and 2, respectively.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the US, across all genres, based on multimetric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units include album sales, track album equivalents (TEA) and streaming album equivalents (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale or 10 individual tracks sold from an album or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 official paid/subscription audio and video streams generated from songs from an album.
