New York emcee, songwriter, chef, wrestler and TV host Action Bronson enlists Daringer & The Alchemist to produce his 8th full-length studio LP. He blew up with the release of his debut album Dr. Lecter in 2011, he made a joint venture with VICE Music & Atlantic Records while following his debut with two EPs and mixtapes. The most notable is the Blue Chips duology, Saab stories & my personal favorite: Rare chandeliers. He then made his major label debut Sir Excellent in 2015 and has some of his best songs on there, but the end result would be a more polished mixed bag. He fulfilled his contracts with a fall Blue Chips 7000 & celebrated his freedom the following year in the form of White Bronco which were both solid, but fell short of caliber Lamb over rice the Thanksgiving after. Only for dolphins although it was pretty average given that some of the production choices were questionable and Crocodile Turbo it was a bounce. Concerning Johann Sebastian Bakhlava the doctori went into this hoping it would be bronson's best album to date.
“Splash (Provocativ)” is this laid-back, jazzy opener that introduces a new flavor from Bachlava when all is said and done, while “SEGA” works in some haunting instrumental melodies from Uncle Al who refers to himself as the muthafuka you don't want to get stuck. . “Nourish a Thug” laces up pianos as well as kicks and snares from Daringer, talking about turning the temperature down the old fashioned way, just before “Hideo Nomo” strips down the drums explaining that his horoscope told him to get more cake here.
Meanwhile, on “Salvaje,” we have Bronson in a more relaxed production looking to smash guitars over heads like The Honky Tonk Man did to Jake “The Snake” Roberts who leads Meyhem Lauren to accompany him for the rock-influenced “Hogan” that humorously talks about dogs. with the face of Hulk Hogan. “Citrus Wahoo” with Meyhem again lecturing you about what you've done wrong just to fool yourself, but then “Kompressor” with Larry June charmingly talks about always moving on.
“NBA Leather on NBC” features Alchemist himself jumping over keys and a harmonica mash-up of the New York Knicks & Chicago Bulls, while the song “Shadow Realm” rips his heart out and talks about trying to take off for so long in the middle of it they all hang from the land again. “Doctor” ends the drumless LP by comparing his life to a scene from the 1979 masterpiece disclosure now.
I'm really proud to see where Action Bronson has come over a decade since his initial rise to the top a decade ago Damn, this is deliciousRising popularity and even his brief appearances in AEW at All Out IV & Grand Slam II. Now, over 13 years since his first tape, he's celebrating his mom's birthday by releasing my new favorite long track. For just half an hour, we get a heartfelt dedication to all the Day 1s and even the newest members of Bachlava's coalition.
