Hold on tight because Anyma is rewiring the Las Vegas nervous system after selling out her historic residency at the Sphere.
The Italian superstar DJ will become the first electronic dance music artist to perform inside the $2.3 billion venue, the world's largest spherical structure.
After announcing a flagship show for New Year’s Eve, Sphere added five more events due to “incredible continued demand,” according to a press release. Tickets for all six concerts that make up the groundbreaking residency from Dec. 27 to Jan. 1 sold out in a matter of minutes.
Much loved in the electronic music community for his captivating and immersive visuals, Anyma will remix the laws of physics on the giant orb, which contains the world’s largest and highest-resolution wraparound LED screen. In 2016, the DJ co-founded the label and touring brand Afterlife, whose cerebral approach to techno has effectively reinvented the genre for the current generation, transforming it into a dazzling (and often chilling) live music experience.
Anyma's residency is a defining moment for the pioneering Sphere, where only a handful of legendary rock and jam bands have ever performed: U2, Phish, Dead & Company and The Eagles. And as this electronic music-fuelled show takes shape (literally in spherical form), she has promised “the best show” of her remarkable career so far.
“Three years ago, when I founded Anyma, I would never have believed that we would have come this far. All I can say is thank you,” she said. “To the 100,000 attendees, I promise that I will give them the best show of my life, with special surprises and prepared guests.”
