By Ariana Grande Eternal sunshine is scheduled for release on March 8, but those who want to hear new songs from the set before then will have to wait. Grande announced to her Instagram Stories that he won't be sharing any more new singles before its release.
“I just wanted to say… as hard as it is to resist the urge to share another song or single with you as soon as possible, I really want you to experience the album fully this time.”
Grande announced her seventh studio album last month, just days after releasing her first (and now only) single, “Yes, And?”, which bowed at Number One on Billboard's Hot 100. While this is the only upfront song shared from the upcoming LP, Grande teased the names of two other tracks: “Intro (End of the World),” which opens the set, and Track Five's title track.
Further explaining her decision to make 9 singles advanced albums, Grande noted that fans will still have a lot to look forward to next month: “Of course there will be more singles from this project once it's released (and we might have a little surprise or two of our sleeves to hold you over until then don't worry). But waiting a little longer for you to fully listen first is really the ideal way for all of you to experience this body of work. Thank you for your trust in my vision and plan!”
He added: “I can't wait to enjoy every second of this new era with you and I honestly can't wait for it to be yours!”
In a clip she recently shared where she described the project to the Republikan Records team last year, Grande called it a “concept album.”
“Things are pouring out and happening very quickly as they often do. You know how I am and you know how these things go,” he said in the clip. “We'll be doing proper vocals and orchestrations in November. I'm nervous! I wanted to share with you that this is kind of a concept album because it's all different enhanced pieces of the same story of the same experience.”
As she prepares for the release, she's also celebrating the fact that 14 songs have reached 1 billion streams on Spotify, more than any other female artist. “It's a really absurd number. I can't wrap my head around the number,” she said in a clip promoting her appearance in an episode for her platform Billionaires Club.
