Brady Bedard has been named executive vice president of promotion for Atlantic Music Group, following a 26-year career at Sony Music and Columbia Records, where he most recently served as senior vice president of pop promotion. In his new role, Bedard will take the lead on promotional strategies for the Atlantic, 300 and 10K Projects labels.
Bedard's career has been marked by significant contributions to the success of high-profile artists such as Adele, Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, BTS and many others. A Twin Cities native, he began his career as a college representative for Sony Music in 1998. Over the years, he progressed through roles in marketing and radio promotion, eventually landing his most recent position in 2018. His experience spans many genres and a deep understanding of the evolving radio and music landscape.
CEO of AMG Eliot Grange praised Bedard's extensive experience and strong industry connections, emphasizing his ability to navigate the complexities of promotion.
“He has deftly navigated the ever-changing radio landscape for more than a quarter of a century, with a passionate commitment to music and deep relationships across the industry,” Grainge said.
Bedard's appointment is part of a wider leadership reshuffle under Grainge, who also recently named Alana Dolgin as the company's first digital marketing president, underscoring AMG's focus on digital innovation.
This leadership development aligns with Warner Music's broader strategic initiatives. On last week's earnings call, Warner CEO Robert Kyncl praised Atlantic and Warner Records for driving growth by discovering and promoting innovative talent. He highlighted the success of 10K Projects, a joint venture between Warner and AMG, attributing its rapid growth to Grainge's digitally-led strategies. Kyncl also praised Grainge's intensity – “I like that about him,” he said – and decisive leadership, which he believes attracts top talent.
Bedard expressed excitement about his new role, citing Atlantic's heritage in artist development and strong reputation in radio promotion.
“Having spent my entire career thus far at one label, the only other place I could imagine working is one with such a rich history of artist development and genre-spanning rosters like WMG,” said Bedard. “Atlantic is a legend in the radio promotion industry and joining the company at this transformative time is extremely exciting. I want to thank Elliott for this amazing opportunity.”
