New single precedes singer's upcoming album, This is how tomorrow movesreleased August 16
Beabadoobee gives fans a taste of a recent trip to Japan in her sweet new video for “Ever Seen.” On Monday, the musician released the track's music video, the latest taste of her upcoming album.
On Instagram, the singer wrote that the video was her “favorite so far,” thanking the video's director (and boyfriend) Jake Erland for being “the most talented person I know.”
“What about filming me from your perspective and you having eyes 👁👁 the highest I've ever been,” she wrote. The video follows Beabadoobee singing on the dance floor while walking the streets of Japan, riding the subway, playing with silly cats, eating tasty snacks and using a payphone.
The new track marks the second single since “Take a Bite” was released earlier this year. The singles precede her upcoming LP, This is how tomorrow moves. Produced by Rick Rubin, the album will be released on August 16. He said on Instagram that there would be “one more [single] to go before the album.”
Beabadoobee will hit the road in the fall in support of the new album, making stops in cities including New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver, before heading to Europe.
“I guess it's about becoming a woman,” she said of the record in a press release earlier this year. “I think I'm more aware of my actions in these songs. On my previous records, I consistently sang about my reaction to other people's actions, like a blame game. But on this record, I accept that there's an inevitable mistake of mine there too.”
