If you were one of the many members of the Beyhive who buzzed in earlier this week to wish Beyoncé happy 43rd birthday, he wants you to know he appreciated it. In an Instagram post on Thursday (September 5), the R&B superstar thanked her fans for their kind words while showing off some typically high-fashion looks.
“I'm so grateful for another year. Thanks for the lovely birthday wishes,” Beys wrote along with praying hands and bee emojis. In the series of photos, the “Texas Hold'Em” singer, who turned 43 on Wednesday (September 4), rocks a black, brown and green patterned mini dress and sheer green gloves, along with a matching headscarf and silver cat-eye shades while holding a clutch of balloons in one hand and a glass of drink in the other.
The series of snaps appear to be from a vacation trip and include another slide of the same look, but on a sandy beach, as well as a close-up of Bey's left hand highlighted by her giant diamond wedding ring. Another photo finds Bey clutching a leather suitcase (and a glass of coffee, of course) and focusing on her lime green stilettos and matching purse, as well as relaxing on a daybed with husband Jay-Z.
In one second postBey Jay can be seen soaking up the sun in what appears to be the couple's killer vacation getaway. Naturally, Bey is pictured floating in the crystal blue ocean while smoking a cigar and once again enjoying a glass of the newly launched SirDavis line of whiskey. In addition to footage of the singer pouring a glass and then holding the glass up to the sky to capture the end of a perfect rainbow, there's also a short video of Jay smoking some ocean.
The SirDavis line launched last month is a tribute to Bey's great-grandfather and is described as a “harmony of spices with wonderful fruit notes”.
