In their cheeky music video “Guess”, Billie Eilish and Charli XCX stand atop a mountain of women's underwear — but none of it went to waste once the director called cut.
After filming the visual, the two pop stars donated all the clothes they couldn't wear I support the girls, a foundation that collects and distributes essential items — such as bras, underwear and menstrual hygiene products — to women experiencing homelessness, poverty or distress. According to a post on the nonprofit charity's website, the donation included about 10,000 pairs of underwear.
I Support the Girls also got a shout-out at the end of the “Guess” music video, which was released on Thursday (August 1) right after the “Von Dutch” artist teased that the nine-time Grammy winner was involved in the project with a cryptic post on Instagram. In the photo, Charli showed off her skimpy underwear while her unidentified duet partner, later revealed to be Eilish, shed three layers of boxers for the camera.
“All unwearable underwear will be donated to survivors of domestic violence through I Support the Girls,” reads a message during the credits of the Aidan Zamiri-directed play, written in lime-green lettering that matches Charli's. Brat album cover.
After the donation, I Support the Girls is officially here Brat summer. The foundation released a video showing the process of distributing products to those in need by adapting the lyrics of “Guess”: “You want to buy it, share it, package it, ship it, pull it off the shelves, and then you are giving it as a gift. ”
Eilish's appearance on 'Guess' marks just the latest remix Charli has released from her critically acclaimed album Bratwhich has so far reached his No.3 Billboard 200. The “Boom Clap” singer has also dropped remixes of her album tracks with Lorde, Robyn and more.
