The fraud trial of Canal Street shopper and real-life villain Bishop Lamor Whitehead has begun, and the allegations coming out are pretty impressive.
The “Bling Bishop,” who rose to fame after thieves stripped him of his jewelry during a live stream of his church service, could be in serious trouble if these allegations about him are true.

And she believed the accused – a man who had then become her son's mentor and spiritual advisor.”
Greenwood claimed Whitehead spent the money on himself, including splurging on designer clothes and a BMW payment.
“The victim never got her home and she never got her money back.”
Other expenses
In other related charges in the December 2022 case, Whitehead allegedly forged bank statements to secure a $250,000 loan, claiming he had millions in a bank account that had only $6 in it.
In another charge, he threatened the owner of a Bronx body shop, Brandon Belmonte, and allegedly tried to extort $5,000 from him after a repair job.
Whitehead also tried to get Belmonte to put his name on a $500,000 real estate deal, claiming he could get a favor from Mayor Adams to make them millions.
The 47-year-old “religious figure” is accused of fraud, extortion and related offenses and is looking at decades in prison.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges. His attorney, Dawn Florio, asked jurors to reserve judgment until they see all the evidence and blame the parish's misfortunes on her son.
If all of this is true, this guy sounds like absolute garbage.
