Beyoncé is no stranger to uplifting her fellow black artists, and she did just that with her recently released album. Cowboy Carter.
The project features Tanner Addell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts on Bey's “Blackbird,” a rendition of the Beatles' 1968 classic. Linda Martell and Shaboozey are featured on “Spaghettii,” while Willie Jones sings on “Just for Fun.” Shaboozey also makes an appearance on “Sweet Honey Buckiin.”
To honor the talented black artists who have contributed Cowboy CarterSpotify released a billboard in Los Angeles this week noting that each of the featured artists has received an impressive increase in streams and exposure on the streaming platform since the album's release.
According to Spotify, Beyoncé's catalog has seen a 395% increase in streams since then Cowboy Carterrelease, Spencer's music increased 37,220%, Reynolds increased 16,000%, Adell increased 3,200%, Kennedy increased 40,000%, Jones increased 5,650%, Shaboozey increased 1,350% and Martell saw a nearly 127,430% increase in Spotify stream streams.
Each artist also received a boost to listeners for the first time. Beyonce's first-time listeners up 85%, Spencer up 170%, Reynolds up 125%, Adell up 125% in first-time listeners, Kennedy up 110%, Jones up 75 %, Shaboozey increased by 70% and Martell saw a nearly 1,145% increase in early listeners on Spotify.
On its release day on March 29, Cowboy Carter It has officially become Spotify's most streamed album in a single day in 2024.
