After touring the world as Madonna's emcee, drag star Bob the Drag Queen is ready to hit the road again with a show of his own.
On Tuesday (June 4), the Drag Race The winner has announced his new comedy tour, This Is Wild! World tour. Bob's new show will take place this fall, kicking off the 35-date North American leg of the tour in Sacramento, California on September 18 before heading to cities like Seattle, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Washington, New York. York and Los Angeles, before closing the show at the Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas on November 15.
The new show will see Bob showcase his multi-talented skills, including “stand-up comedy, audience work and music, all while entertaining audiences with his charisma and talent,” according to a press release. In a statement, Bob made it clear how much fun he plans to have on the road: “If you've ever laughed at me online, wait until you see me in person.”
Bob's new North American tour dates join a suite tour” target=”_blank”>announced shows in Australia, starting in Brisbane on July 18 at the QPAC Concert Hall. The star will perform throughout the month in Sydney and Melbourne before closing at the Astor Theater in Perth on July 24.
Bob has spent the last year on the road with Madonna on her Celebration World tour, serving as the emcee for the decades-spanning setlist. Talking to you Advertising sign in 2023 before the tour began, Bob said working with the pop legend had already proven to be a validating experience. “He respects me in a way that doesn't seem like a novelty,” he said. “Obviously, what matters most is how I feel about myself, but yeta stamp of approval from Madonna is just like… 'What?!'”
