In season four, Benedict, played by Luke Thompson, searches for the illusive Lady in Silver at his mother's prom
Following two steamers seasons ending with engagements to Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), Netflix has announced the next Bridgerton boy to enter the marriage.
Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, will lead the fourth season of the much-anticipated period drama bridgerton, Netflix announced on Tuesday. In a teaser, a crew member arrives at Benedict's door and informs him of the implementation of an upcoming prom. “In that case, come in,” he remarks at the end of the teaser.
In the eight-episode fourth season, Benedict, the brothers' art lover, searches for the illusive Lady in Silver. The fourth installment comes from the pages of Julia Quinn's third Bridgerton Book, An offer from a gentleman. In it, Benedict meets Sophie Beckett, a woman born of low social status, at a ball.
The Season Three finale sheds light on Benedict's romantic interests. He accepts Lady Tilley Arnold's (Hannah New) proposal to join a team with Paul Suarez (Lucas Aurelio) and throughout the episode, viewers are treated to lusty, lip-locking moments between the three. The episode also reaches its climax when Penelope reveals at the Featherington ball that she is gossip columnist Lady Whistledown.
During the UK premiere Bridgerton Part Two, presenter Jess Brownell he said The Hollywood Reporter that the next season will likely return in 2026.
“We're working to try to get the seasons out faster, but it takes eight months to shoot and then they have to be edited and then dubbed into each language,” Brownell said. “And the writing takes a long time as well, so we're at a two-year pace, we're trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range.”
