Bring Me the Horizon has unveiled new song “Kool-Aid,” the latest single from their upcoming album. HUMAN POST: NeX GEn.
While not as crushing as the band's early deathcore years, the song packs a punch compared to some of the British band's more recent pop-inspired output. Singer Oli Sykes starts screaming at certain points of the track, while singing over some heavy riffs.
HUMAN POST: NeX GEn It was originally scheduled to arrive in September 2023, but was delayed indefinitely. A new press release states that the album “will be released this year, with the official release date coming soon.”
“Kool-Aid” is the first song Bring Me the Horizon has released since the departure of keyboardist and programmer Jordan Fish was announced in late December. It's unclear if he played on the song, but a new band photo (see above) accompanying the song does not include Fish.
Bring Me the Horizon will begin a UK tour later this month. This will be followed by a jaunt to Australia in April and an appearance at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas on April 27. A series of European festivals will then take place in June and July.
