Police in a Cleveland suburb are on the lookout for a man who pointed his gun Burger King employee for reasons that brought this report into the #BRUHNews mix. The Burger King worker says the man was upset that the price of his meal was lower than he expected.
Cleveland Area News Network WOIO reports that the incident at the Burger King took place last Easter Sunday morning in the town of Willowick. The broadcaster obtained CCTV footage of the moment last Monday (April 1). Howard Vernon, 38, explained to WOIO what led up to the violent exchange.
“To know that someone would do something like that just because I'm trying to give you a better deal and get away with it, it's scary,” Vernon told WOIO. “I was taking this guy's order and he ordered two sausage egg cheese croissants and a sausage hash brown and the order came out at $8 and it was like my order can't be right it should be like $11 and I'm like trying to explain to him that we had a promotion and it was cheaper and he started cursing and yelling and I was like I don't know what to tell you I don't know why you want to pay more money. “
The man left and then returned to the window and pointed his firearm at Vernon while using a racial slur. Vernon stood defiant and was unmoved by the man's aggressive tactics.
“The whole time I was like do it do it, I'm not going to run,” Vernon said. “You don't scare me or anything like that, just do what you gotta do and he kept spouting racial slurs and it's crazy because there was an old woman like his gun on top of this old woman's car that could have given she has a heart attack insult like anything you know'.
Thank goodness the clerk was unharmed and with the video, hopefully it won't be long before the angry big spender is off the streets.
