Here's some dynamite ARMY news: BTS's RM has announced that his second solo album is on the way!
Right place, wrong person is expected to be released on May 24 and will feature 11 tracks “infused with alternative music and rich sounds,” according to the press release. The K-pop superstar also helped write the “honest, honest lyrics” for each song.
According to the announcement on WeverseRight Place, Wrong Person captures feelings most people are familiar with, including “feeling like an outsider who doesn't fit in.”
“Right place, wrong person embodies aspects of RM as a solo artist, separate from the albums released under BTS,” label Big Hit said in a statement, noting that the LP “immerses itself in RM's authentic essence.”
RM's first solo set, Indian, arrived in December 2022 and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. The album featured numerous artists including Anderson .Paak, Erykah Badu and more. The lead single “Wild Flower”, featuring youjeen, debuted and peaked at No. 83 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Big Hit also said that ahead of the release of the BTS rapper's second solo LP, RM will “reveal a variety of content, offering a further look at the new album.”
BTS members have completed their mandatory military service in South Korea. RM started his enlistment in December, as did V, Jimin and Jung Kook. Jin was the first member of the septet to do the required service, with J-Hope and SUGA following. South Korea requires all its able-bodied men to enlist by the age of 28 for 18 to 21 months of service.
