The singer's first solo track since the 2023 LP Golden coincides with the 2024 BTS Festa in Seoul
Jung Kook will release his new song “Never Let Go,” the BTS singer's first solo track this year and his first since the release of his 2023 LP. Goldennext week.
Big Hit Music announced the arrival of Jung Kook's latest single on Sunday, June 7, adding that the track will coincide with this year's BTS Festa, which takes place a week later in Seoul, South Korea.
According to BTS' label, “Never Let Go” is “a track dedicated to their fans ARMY, conveying a heartfelt message to never let go of each other.” Coming up on the 10th anniversary of BTS' debut album Dark & Wildthe single “will serve as a gesture of appreciation and love for ARMY worldwide.”
While Jung Kook has been released lately Golden — with guests including Major Lazer, Jack Harlow, Latto and DJ Snake — in November, the singer appeared on bandmate J-Hope's “I Wonder” in March.
The 2024 BTS Festa will kick off on June 13, with Jin — having recently completed his mandatory military service — taking center stage in the festivities. “Jin will be giving a light hug to each of his 1,000 fans,” HYBE and Big Hit Music said on Saturday. “The event was prepared in accordance with Jin's desire to greet and interact with fans in a more personal setting.”
They added, “Giving back to ARMY's unwavering support, Jin chose the offline event as his first official appearance after completing his military service. Dispelling concerns about the group's mandatory service time, Jin's appearance is set to mark a long-awaited next chapter for BTS.
