Channeling the bittersweet beauty of impermanence, Camden Cox has unveiled a new single, “Another.”
The song is a polaroid forgotten in a dusty attic, its layered production and introspective composition inviting us to travel a nostalgic path of self-reflection on growth and impermanence. The prolific singer-songwriter, who was recently named to EDM.com's Class of 2024, bares her soul with a haunting house beat, exploring our desire to hold on to the fleeting memories of lost love.
Against the fading heat of a past flame, Cox's emotive vocals convey a sense of overcoming pain while acknowledging the emptiness left behind. Her lyrics weave a tapestry of loneliness, but her rhythm pulses with constant resolve: a therapy session on the dance floor where the pain of letting go finds a rhythm.
The release coincides with International Women's Day and follows Cox's recent sold-out show at The Hackney Social in London, where she was joined by Hayla, Alex Mills, Darla Jade, Driia, Hannah Boleyn and Lily McKenzie.
