In case you missed it, Cam'ron and Mase went viral once again for a sports shot.
During an episode of their sports show It is what it is, the topic of boxer Shakur Stevenson's last fight came up and the rapper turned pastor turned sports commentator called Stevenson's style of boxing boring. Shakur didn't take kindly to the Harlem rapper's opinion, and it started a back-and-forth between the two camps on social media (which we covered here.)
Now it looks like J. Prince has entered the mix.
Prince — who commands the Newark Boxer since 2016 — sent the Harlem duo the following message on Instagram yesterday:
“Let the haters say he's boring and nobody wants to watch him. Sorry to tell you it's just some of you haters. As you can see, there is proof that he has the number one rating in every fight on ESPN this year and the top three ratings from 2022. And to all you haters who want to escalate that hate outside of the ring, I'm his manager Shakur and I handle all of his business outside the ring. In other words, Cam and Mase will fade all his shots and I'll take all the bets.”
Naturally, Cam and Mase responded this morning on his latest episode It is what it is.
“When you're dealing with older people, they're the last ones to know that things have changed,” Mase said. “We are not your talk. All these big household things, these are for little ones. We are not small, so we don't even respect big friends. I know Killa doesn't. For me too; I never respected the n—s on the streets, that's why I've always dealt with the problems I've had.”
He then added, “If you're 60 years old and you're trying to be a n—a street, you've failed. My name is Mase. I stand by this message.”
The former Bad Boy artist also revealed that he recently spoke with the Texas mogul via a FaceTime call with Ye and the conversation was positive. “So I don't even know why he would come at me with this action. I felt really disrespected. There are certain people you're supposed to come to like that and I'm not one of them.”
Cam agreed with his co-host and added his two cents, saying: “Why do you think you can tell us what we can and can't say. Check your na! Nobody's going to say to a—ah, “Get the strap,” and then we're going to sit there and say, “I think we should shut up.” Adding, “Nah, n—a. It's not 1982, bro. You suffer, James. I don't know what bet you are talking about and all this other slang. Whatever bet you're talking about, bet it.”
