Carly Wilford is back with a new single, “Loveline,” a house stunner with lyricism that blurs the line between desire and illusion.
Her latest track transforms personal torment into a rhythmic, hypnotic exploration of connection: beautiful but utterly absorbing. He manages to weave a powerful story through his pulsating four-on-the-floor beat, capturing the visceral pain of a love that exists only in dark mental spaces: part memory, part hallucination.
Wilford's propulsive production drives the arrangement with urgency as his lyrics ramp up the tension, oscillating between longing and surrender with compelling fragility. Traversing dark, churning basslines, the vocals uncover a vulnerability that is almost hauntingly intimate.
The repeated refrain of being “out of my mind” suggests an infatuation that is both an escape and a form of temporary insanity: a fierce internal power struggle that we have all experienced when pursuing love.
“Loveline” is out now via Armin van Buuren's venerable Armada Music label. Check out the new single below.
