Cazzu clears things up and talks for the first time about Christian Nodal and Ángela Aguilar's relationship. In an interview with Argentina PLPthe singer and rapper said she learned about Nodal and Aguilar “like everyone else, through social media and the press,” Cazzu shared.
The Argentine hitmaker's words come just weeks after Aguilar sat down with ABC News, during which she opened up about how her relationship began over the summer, when the pair tied the knot in July – two months after 25-year old Nodal announced his split from Argentinian rapper Cazzu, with whom they have a daughter. During the interview, the Mexican star of the area said categorically: “Nobody broke the heart. We have a clear conscience. We're all fine, we're all happy, we're adults.”
Now, Cazzu is speaking out for herself and setting the record straight. “I didn't know they had a previous relationship,” she explained. “When he left me, he left me for a different reason. I even asked if there was anyone else and he said no. I learned about their relationship like everyone else, through the same media and the press, I was obviously surprised because I had met her. I thought it wasn't true, but it turned out to be.”
When Nodal and Aguilar confirmed in June that they were a couple, Aguilar said HELLO! magazine that theirs “was not a new relationship. it's the continuation of a story that life made us stop to grow and miss each other.”
Cazzu goes on to explain that she did nothing at the time because “there was nothing to do. I'm not going to ask anyone to stay in my life who doesn't want to be a part of my life – I just accepted it.”
The “Mucha Data” singer said she was almost “obliged” to speak out about the issue after “shootings” and had been spoken to on several occasions.
“For me this is such a private matter, so painful that I would never say anything, but my integrity as a human being is being questioned. I would never be part of such a twisted scheme as this one suggested, and they also spoke to my feelings — someone who doesn't know me, who doesn't know what I've been through. They said no one was heartbroken and no one suffered — I suffered a lot and more than one heart was broken. It was a painstaking process. I handled it with respect above all because I have a daughter who has a father who will always be her father, but I want to set an example for her that when things cross the line, you have to set boundaries.”
She added: “The only person authorized to talk about my emotional state is me. Don't lie about me, don't talk about my feelings, don't talk about me anymore, please. I would like to be in peace, as I let things happen in peace.”
After Cazzu's interview went viral on social media, Nodal repeated it Instagram Live that “there was no infidelity” and that he had a “clear conscience.”
