Chapel Roan, fresh off her Harvard Med School Lecturethey said goodbye to Olivia Rodrigo and their Offal tour with her final show as opener on Tuesday night, April 2nd.
After her own set at Boston's TD Garden, Roan snuck into the front row of the GA section to watch Rodrigo and prepare for a surprise. As Rodrigo wrapped up her show, she jumped down to greet the fans at the barricade, only for Roan to appear and hug her. Rodrigo, after realizing who hugged her, gave Roan a big kiss as the two waved to the big screen cameras.
Roan has opened for Rodrigo since Offal The tour started at the end of February. While that run is complete, she has several more tour dates planned for the spring and summer as she continues to tour in support of her acclaimed 2023 debut. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Her itinerary includes headlining shows in North America, Europe and the UK, as well as a slew of festival appearances including sets at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Governors Ball.
In the midst of it all, though, it looks like Roan will be embarking on her next musical era. In one email to fansrevealed that her next single, “Good Luck, Babe,” will arrive this Friday, April 5. He said the song is “to wish luck to someone who defies fate”.
As for Rodrigo, she will officially wrap her first leg Offal four-night world tour in New York on April 5, 6, 8 and 9, with the Breeders providing support throughout. He'll spend most of May and June in the UK and Europe with Remi Wolf before returning to North America for a second leg starting July 19 in Philadelphia and concluding with four nights in Los Angeles, 13, 14, 16 August and 17 (PinkPantheress will provide support on most of those dates, with the Breeders returning for the LA shows).
