Chris Brown breaks a four-way tie to take sole possession of the third No. 1 Bulletin boardon the Rhythmic Airplay chart, as “Residuals” tops the list dated November 16. The single rose 6% in the tracking week of November 1-7 and was the most played song at US rhythmic radio stations in the tracking window, according to Luminate.
With “Residuals,” released on CBE/RCA Records, Brown scores his 14th airplay leader. He moves one ahead of a trio of fellow R&B/pop superstars – Bruno Mars, The Weeknd and Usher – who have 13 champions each. As Brown adds another chart-topper to his tally, he now trails only Drake (39) and Rihanna (17) for most No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay since the chart began in 1992.

Similarly, “Under the Influence”, relied on the support of social media, particularly TikTok. The 2019 track went viral in 2022, sparking major returns on multiple charts, including No. 1 results on both Rhythmic Airplay and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and the No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Elsewhere, “Residuals” moves 5-4 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, which ranks songs based on total audience totals at adult R&B and mainstream R&B/hip-hop stations, up 11% at 13. 4 million audiences. .
