The Grateful Dead offshoot group has added six more shows in August to its residency at the Las Vegas venue
Dead and Company have extended their residency at the Las Vegas Sphere with a bunch more shows scheduled to take place in August.
The Grateful Dead offshoot group added six new dates to their “Dead Forever” residency: Aug. 1, 2, and 3, and Aug. 8, 9, and 10. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale Friday, May 31, at 10 a.m. PT. Fans can register now for an advance presale, with those tickets set to go on sale May 30 at 10 a.m. PT. Ticket prices will start at $145, including taxes and fees.
Dead and Co. announced their run at the Sphere back in January with a lineup featuring Dead greats Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, alongside John Mayer, bassist Oteil Burbridge, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, and drummer Jay Lane. The shows marked a quick turnaround for the group, who’d embarked on a “final tour” in 2023, which culminated with a pair of hometown gigs in San Francisco.
The “Dead Forever” residency launched earlier this month, with Dead and Co. taking advantage of the Sphere’s singular audio-visual technology to create a show full of nods to the band’s history. In a review, Rolling Stone called the spectacle “the most dazzling visual show in Grateful Dead history.”
Dead and Co. are just the third band to play the Sphere so far. U2 inaugurated the venue with a string of shows late last year, while Phish played a shorter four-show run back in April. While the Sphere also showcases running interactive exhibits, no other concert events after Dead Forever have been announced yet.
