Mr.Greendot himself, the NBA Youngboy was officially sentenced to 23 months in prison & 60 months probation. Which means the Louisiana rapper will be coming home in 2026. Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, served time on his sentence, which runs until May 2024. He struck a deal to settle two federal charges. One could get him 23 months in prison and the other with 5 years of probation and a $200,000 fine.
He and his lawyers signed the deal on Tuesday after striking it with the feds in September. YoungBoy admitted that while filming a rap video in Baton Rouge, he had a Glock 21 .45 and a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun. He also admitted to having a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol in his crib in Huntsville, Utah, in April 2024. As part of the deal, he agreed to surrender the weapons.
NBA Youngboy's godmother, Kyrie Garcia spoke about his character being questioned, “I just want people to see Kentrell as a human being, and there's a whole other side to these things… he's human and he's got a good heart.”
Fans are hoping the rapper returns home as soon as possible so he can start dropping some more projects as YB dropped 4 projects in 2023 (I Rest My Case, Don't Try This At Home, Richest Opp, Decided 2). Some of his biggest streaming hits to come out of these projects include 'Deep Down', 'Now Who' and 'B*tch Let's Do It'.
