It's been weeks since Diddy went all out on the Internet after authorities raided his property following all kinds of shocking accusations, and even though things have since died down on social media, the case continues to move forward.
According People, P. Diddy's alleged drug mule has cut a deal with the feds and will cooperate with the investigation in exchange for some leniency as he faces prison time for his alleged involvement in the Diddy drama. In exchange for his cooperation, 25-year-old Branden Paul will enter a drug diversion program, but more importantly, for him, he will avoid prison for his arrest for possession of marijuana and cocaine last March.
Paul's lawyer, Brian Bieber said People that with his client's cooperation and completion of the drug program “the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety.”
While this may seem like a slap on the wrist for someone who transported booger sugar for a multi-million dollar music mogul, this is apparently a standard offer for non-violent defendants with no precedent.
Per People:
Paul was previously named in a sexual assault lawsuit filed by Combs' former producer and videographer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, in which Jones alleged that Paul was Combs' “mule” who “acquires” and “distributes” his “drugs and weapons”. .”
Despite the arrest, it did not appear to be linked to the 'I'll Be Missing You' artist, 54.
Bieber's attorney said in a statement to PEOPLE on March 27, “We do not intend to litigate this case in the media — all issues will be dealt with in court.”
The Miami-Dade Police Department had no comment on the matter.
In April, Paul was charged with possession of cocaine. However, according to court documents, Paul's additional felony count of marijuana candy was dropped.
One has to wonder what kind of tea Paul is serving the investigators to help himself out of this jam, and if Diddy is worried about what could come of it.
Just a few days ago Diddy took to his Instagram page with a post that simply read “time tells the truth.”
He seems confident that he will eventually be cleared of all charges. We wonder if he still has the same confidence after learning of Brendan Paul's waiver deal.
