Dolly Parton might be the only person who is surprised by this Bulletin board named the country's icon at No. 1 spot on the list of the 100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time, released throughout November.

Since the release of her debut album in 1967, Hi, I'm Dolly, Parton scored 25 No. 1 Bulletin boardCountry Songs chart, the most by any female and 49 top 10s on Country Albums, including nine No. 1s, most recently in 2023 with Rockstar. At 78, the beloved entertainer and celebrated songwriter is still at the top of her game.
From an early age, Parton wanted to make country music. “Now, when I was a little girl, I would sit around the radio listening to the Grand Ole Opry and hearing all these big stars like Hank Williams and Kitty Wells and Johnny Cash, I would dream about what my life could be like. good,” she continued.
Parton thanked Bulletin board but she saved her biggest thanks for her fans: “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take my music around the world and see all my dreams come true.” She then finished by singing a line from one of her most famous songs. Watch the full video above.
