Don Lemon is returning to the airwaves with a new self-titled show that was originally thought to be an exclusive deal with Platform X and is now streaming everywhere. In a new interview, the veteran broadcaster shared some details from his impact with CNN, his conversation with X honcho Elon Musk and more.
Don Lemon spoke exclusively with PEOPLE for the new show, returning to CNN to tell his side of things about Musk's conversation and what he hopes to do with his new show. Hip-Hop Wired has seen the first episode of the revamped The Don Lemon Showwhich are currently live on YouTube, and DSPs like iHeart and Spotify.

PEOPLE: And now you're on a new path, with a new show.
LEMON: As I said at the Time 100 gala, “I wanted to do something that scared me.” I had such an idea swimming in my mind. I always knew the future was going to be in streaming and it was going to be on this little device. Whether I had left CNN or not, this was where I was going to lean. To talk about things that are hot, to put issues out there that may not be addressed or at least not shown on traditional television. I get a chance to talk a lot more without having to rush to get to commercial breaks. I can have real conversations and I don't have to worry about what you say, it's advertiser friendly, does it have to be sanitized? I don't have to worry about that. I can have real conversations.
