For those still invested in this Rap Royal Rumble that includes Drake, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Futureand Metro Boomin, it was a festive season for these fans. While there hasn't been much music to come out of this battle, there has been plenty of discussion between Drake and Rick Ross as the pair trade insults online.
For those who don't follow this fake meat mess as deeply as we have to in the media, Drake took a shot at Rick Ross in his “Push Ups” diss track which prompted Rozay to respond with his “Champagne Moments” track. From there, Ross took to Instagram and released videos attacking the Canadian superstar's biracial upbringing, an alleged nose job, an alleged BBL, and disproving some sculpting claims.
Drake fired back via his Instagram Stories feed, sharing a text message allegedly exchanged between him and his mother. This prompted Ross to double down on his “white boy” refrain and attack Drake's character. Drizzy fired back by talking about the size of Ross' house on Star Island, Miami, referring to it as a content creator's house among other jokes. What's more, the OVO honcho called Ross an “employee” of Sovereign Brands owner Brett Berish, who produces the Luc Belaire wine and champagne brand.
In the midst of it all, fake diss tracks were leaked that were later found to be AI-crafted, Lupe Fiasco was inviting anyone to try, and every podcast in the country has discussed this dustup endlessly.
As it stands, not much music has come from these exchanges, and it seems to be very divisive among the aforementioned acts' fan bases. Even with this rift hanging over the culture, fans are seemingly excited about this tofu feud.
We have reactions to all the illegalities below.
