Metro Boomin trolled Drake with the launch of his 'BBL Drizzy' beat giveaway last weekend, and several remixes and various freestyles have taken off on social media.
“The best verse from him gets a free beat, just upload your song and hashtag #bbldrizzybeatgiveaway,” the 30-year-old tweeted on May 5. He later added a $10,000 cash prize to the mix, in addition to the free Metro beat to the winner.
The 6th God didn't seem too thrilled with the idea. “Did you just cook some for the a-?” Drake he wrote in response in the gift of Metro. “BBL Drizzy” is a reference to Rick Ross' repeated claims that Drake is allegedly going under the knife for cosmetic surgery to improve his appearance.
Fans immediately went to work incorporating the King Willonius AI-generated parody sample into their tracks that have spanned genres well outside of the hip-hop world.
Some of the early favorites come from a range of musicality, including a saxophone, rap lyrics that want to destroy Drake in a battle, merengues, remixes and more.
It's still unclear why Metro and Drake are feuding, but Drizzy called the producer out on “Push Ups.” “Metro, shut up son h– a– and make some drums, n—a,” he raps. Then again on “Family Matters,” Drake addressed Metro by his government name, Leland Wayne, and hinted at hooking up with Metro Boomin's girlfriend.
The We Don't Trust You The producer didn't take kindly to Drake's “Family Matters” jab and shut down claims that Drizzy and his girl had a romantic death on X.
Proceed to the 6 God clown with memes about black face used on the cover of Pusha T's “The Story of Adidan”, painting his nails and more. “I know with fatty tissue scars you're not trying to call me lame,” wrote to X. Metro also published an alleged leaked email which featured reps for Drake's call for “Like That” not to be played on radio.
