Latto's Sugar Honey Iced Tea tour rolled into Toronto on Thursday night (November 7), and Drake stepped out to make a surprise guest appearance.
The Atlanta rapper and Drizzy teamed up for “Housekeeping Knows,” which arrived earlier this year as part of 6 God's 100 Gigs drop.
Although the track isn't usually part of her setlist, Drake stepped up to the mic from the VIP balcony to deliver. “What's going on?” asked Latto as the instrumental began to play footage captured by fans. Wearing a blue jacket and his braids in pigtails, Drizzy took to the show with ease. “Make some noise for my queen-mother's dog Big Latto,” he told the audience.
The show went to History in Toronto, which Drake co-owns. The 2,500-capacity venue opened in 2021 in a joint venture between Drizzy and Live Nation.
“Some of my most memorable shows were playing smaller rooms like History,” Drake said of the venue in 2021, according to a Instagram post from History in September of the same year. “I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans.”
“Housekeeping Knows” finally hit streaming services in August while bundled 100 concerts EP along with “Circadian Rhythm” and “It's Up”. The Latto-assisted track debuted at No. 85 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Next order of business for Drake? It looks like his and Partynextdoor's joint project is on the horizon. “Finite party people. Everyone, thank you, reload,” Partynextdoor teasing on Instagram, while Drake yelled “$$$ THAT TIME.”
