On Wednesday night (June 5), Drake removed the rest of his Instagram posts regarding the Kendrick Lamar beef and published a carousel of stoic contemplative images of himself.
The photos came with a vague caption that read: “The only yes man around me is my Rolex dealer.” While it looks like Drake is back to work as he seems to be moving on and focused on what's next, the post leaves us with more questions than answers.
Since the battle with Lamar has died down, the Toronto rapper has been featured on two songs. First, she assisted her friend Sexyy Red on her song “U My Everything,” which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 44, where she raps over “BBL Drizzy” for part of his guest verse. He then gave the green light to Canadian parody rapper Snowd4y to release Toronto slang remix of Plain White T's “Hey There Delilah” “Wah Gwan Delilah.”
Recently, Gordo aka DJ Carnage posted a photo on social media with Drake asking, “Are you ready for the summer of 2024…”
However, the DJ and producer are back in the picture an interview with Complex claiming it was the work of a troll. “I'm being completely honest, I went to his house because I ran out of milk, so I went and got 2%, whole, goat's milk. It has everything. So I went and took this picture to fight with people,” he told the report. Gordo worked closely with Drake on his dance-adjacent album Honestly, Nevermind where he produced five of the project's 14 tracks.
Kendrick, on the other hand, still has links to his diss tracks His X and Instagramand just announced a concert in Los Angeles for the upcoming Juneteenth.
