Swedish hard rockers, Eclipse, recently released their new single titled “The Spark” from their upcoming full-length, Megalomanius II. The album will be released through Frontiers Music Srl, home to notable acts such as House of Lords and Cassidy Paris. With “The Spark”, Eclipse delivers an array of explosive guitar riffs and devastating vocals. Every note hits with a tumultuous force. The entire song is a hymn to nature and its wild rhythm offers supremely wonderful pleasures. The harmonies are addictive and the groove carries the day.
Eclipse It consists of Erik Martensson (vocals/guitar), Erik Martensson (guitar), Erik Martensson (drums) and Victor Crusner (bass). The band's songwriting is masterful with endless hooks and waves of glorious choruses. They have become one of Sweden's biggest heavy rock bands with over 100 million streams on streaming services. Following its release Megalomaniac last September and, most recently, from the exclusive vinyl 7'' “Apocalypse Blues” and the single “Falling To My Knees”, the band's streak of creating unforgettable anthems is sure to remain intact.
Speaking about 'The Spark', Martensson states:
“Our new single 'The Spark' hits the ground running with a riff that's stickier than a Hubba Bubba bubble popped over a 90s baby goat. Don't let the gum reference fool you, this song has one of our heaviest lyrics yet, but it ends in ECLIPSE signature style chorus that will come in handy at the festivals we're playing this summer.
At its core, ECLIPSE is a heavy rock band with an appeal that transcends genres. In addition to their numerous headings, ECLIPSE he's also opened for a wide range of bands over the years, including Aerosmith, My Chemical Romance and Def Leppard, to name a few. With their unique sound, ECLIPSE is one of Sweden's most influential heavy rock bands.
Megalomanius II is scheduled for release on 9/20. The album contains 11 live tracks. In addition to “The Spark”, the disc includes EclipseHis powerful songs, “Falling To My Knees” and “Apocalypse Blues”. The tunes have a classic rock feel but contain modern nuances and tones. Martensson's vocals are hypnotic while Henriksson's guitar delivers great riffs and explosive solos. Crusner's drums throb with skill, while Victor's bass hits with fire. The songs are adventurous.
Once again, speaking of Megalomanius IIMartensson comments:
“If you thought the title of our previous record was proof that we suffer from delusions of grandeur, then you'd be absolutely right. The only way we could complete it was to make another one. Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Megalomanium II.”
“This band is on a constant journey trying to find new avenues to explore. That said, Megalomanium II is probably closer to what people mostly associate ECLIPSE with. It is filled with big choruses, beautiful melodies and amazing guitar playing. I'm completely unbiased, by the way.” adds Magnus Henriksson.
Eclipse is currently embarking on a European tour with dates coming to the US later this summer. Don't miss this exciting group of powerful musicians. They pound.
