El Alfa has produced many viral songs such as “4K” and most recently “ESTE”. The singer shares with Billboard how he creates his viral songs, what his fans can expect from his new “El Mejor del Planeta” tour, what it was like working with Natti Natasha and more.
I want to know, Alfa, where the name of this tour came from.
Honestly, the name came from me and my team, but doing Dembow, making people have fun and dance, we're the best at it.
This is true. The impact you've had, actually, I've seen you have multiple No. 1 songs on the Billboard charts, more than 20 songs on the Hot Latin Songs chart, so there's no doubt about that.
Right now, I have a song that's really hot. Urban music is struggling to find success. You can have good chart placements, but it's hard to get people to pick you up and stick with your songs like they used to. It's been 12 months since a song has been as successful as this, but I'm enjoying the process and seeing how the business continues to change. I'm thrilled. I just got back from a tour of Europe which I started opening for artists from all over the world. My line up was for 7/7:30pm. and we finished closing the show at 11 p.m. They thought I should shut it down. El Alfa always does his best, so when things get a little uncomfortable on stage, I give my best because I always like to give my best.
