Las Vegas is a city that is almost overwhelmingly energetic, and when you're on a tight schedule, you'll want to maximize your entertainment potential. Will you get a ticket to one of the dozens of electric houses like Carrie Underwood? Or will you try to make a reservation at a fine dining restaurant like Aqua for some seafood from a Michelin-starred chef? It can be hard to know where to start your adventure when you have so much to do and it can feel like the lane was practically built on FOMO.
Whether you're trying to pack on a quick weekend trip or make the most of an extended layover, we recommend starting by choosing a resort to anchor your 48-hour Vegas experience. What happens in Vegas doesn't have to accommodation in Vegas, but you definitely need a place to — and we think the most luxurious weekend starts and ends at Resorts World Las Vegas.
With high-end accommodations, world-class dining options and amazing entertainment options, this is a sign to book the trip you've been meaning to take. As Vegas veterans ourselves, we've curated an itinerary below full of the best ways to make the most of it your stay in Vegas.
FIRST DAY
Knowing which spots are worth booking can be confusing the first time you play poker. The good news: if you're looking for a destination that gives you access to eat a delicious meal, dance the night away, and then head back to your room in one piece, Resorts World Las Vegas it checks all the boxes.
Once you arrive in Vegas, head to the high energy Conradone of three luxury Hilton hotels offered by Resorts World that you can online booking. Go for the shows, stay for the boutique shopping and vibrant nightlife. Leave your bags in one of our Premium King Rooms or settle into a 2 Bedroom Strip View Suite with insane views of the Vegas Strip below and the desert mountains beyond that will make you feel like you “I've really arrived.”
Morning
Time to start your day right with the most important meal of the day — and trust us when we say you'll want a breakfast that will fuel you every step of the way on the Strip. Chef Ray Garcia's ¡VIVA! hosts an excellent brunch every Saturday and Sunday featuring elevated Mexican brunch favorites, plus drinks and bottomless drinks (we wouldn't recommend that first thing since you'll have a full day, but their Fresa Sandia is very good if that's how your day is). Get the Chorizo Con Huevos or Chilaquiles with fresh, crispy corn tortilla chips and thank us later.
Noon
Take a stroll to The District, where you'll find 70,000 square feet of shopping in case that compact carry-on of yours couldn't fit another clubbing shirt. However, the most impressive part of the area is the 50-foot, LED panel-covered Globe (affectionately called “The Orb” on our last trip) which is definitely worth seeing. The Globe offers an immersive art experience and you can watch a short performance with synchronized lights and music every hour from noon to 1am.
Time for lunch
Return to the hotel for lunch at one of the coolest collection of restaurants on the Strip, Famous Foods Street Eats. This bustling food hall is inspired by the vibrant street markets of Singapore and Southeast Asia, and some of the stalls actually come from Singapore, like Boon Tong Kee, who uses a Hainanese chicken rice recipe that dates back to 1979. It's a lively sport that's great for trying a few different dishes, like the lechón stuffed with truffle rice at Pepita's Kitchen or the flaky roti from Springleaf Prata Place. There isn't a single bad bite in the pack, so go crazy.
Noon
If you're ready to throw a punch to a hot DJ set, but also want to be in bed at a reasonable hour, throw on a swimsuit and head to Ayu Dayclub. Resorts World's Bali-inspired pool party turns the weekend into a never-ending summer, with white daybeds and chic wooden cabanas that you can rent if you're not ready to pack into the pool with everyone else. Even if you're just having a drink ashore, it's a certified atmosphere and you might even see one of the recurring artists like Kaskade or T-Pain take to the DJ booth.
That said, if a dayclub isn't your scene, we suggest beating the Vegas heat and cooling off in one of the property's seven pools (including the Strip's only infinity pool).
Early in the afternoon
After a relaxing afternoon by the pool soaking up the sun, head back to Famous Foods Street Eats and head to Ms. Mamak Stall. Meow for a secret surprise. Among the small shop selling Asian snacks and decorated with lucky cats, ask the person behind the register at Ms. Meow's to push the wall of shelves and you can enter the entrance of an intimate speakeasy, Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den. Open daily at 4pm, this relaxed and comfortable venue seats 34 and serves tropical cocktails into the wee hours of the morning. Sip 'Hanami', a sakura-tinged sake drink for a pre-dinner cocktail and choose from the neon tiger on the exposed brick. But be sure to get here early after opening – this busy bar is not so secret anymore and fills up fast.
Dinner time
Now that you've had a drink (or two) and are ready for a night out, start with dinner at Wally's, a beloved transplant from Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. The mouth-watering charcuterie boards are a must, filled with peppery wagyu beef salami and L'Amuse Gouda, although the baguette stuffed with brie and a surprising amount of truffle (with honey, butter and shaved variety) is also a standout. selection. And with a selection of more than 100 wines by the glass, pull up a chair, take a rare sip and get ready for some of the best comfort food on the Strip.
Late afternoon
With so many bars, lounges and concerts at Resorts World, you already have a wide range of options for where you want your night to take you. Resorts World Theatre it might be able to hold 5,000, but seeing a show there will feel more like you're in an intimate club. It even has an immersive sound system designed by L-Acoustics. In other words, it sounds great no matter where you sit. See comedy's biggest names like Kevin Hart or get a front row seat to Carrie Underwood – one of the most anticipated Vegas shows of the year. The Grammy winner Reflection residency started in November 2023 and just added more dates through 2024 so you won't want to miss it.
DAY MONDAY
Morning
Since it's technically your last day in Vegas, you'll want to hit the ground running with some quick bites to keep the Vegas train rolling. Sun's Out Buns Out single-handedly saved us during our last trip to Vegas, thanks to both a post-Zouk, late-night Furikake Fries and a Bacon, Egg & Cheese the next morning. If you couldn't already tell, there is one key ingredient here: eggs. Sun's Out Buns Out serves egg dishes all day, every day, so grab a quick breakfast here to get your day off to a sunny start.
Time for lunch
In case you want to sleep in and skip breakfast to maximize your all-nighter potential, or you're still hungry after breakfast, we love Fuhu's high-energy dining room. It's more than just a pregaming spot (although it's a pretty cool spot for pregaming), it also has a great brunch with an Asian twist and handcrafted signature drinks. Since it's from the Zouk Group, you can listen to DJs and special concerts while eating scoops of crab and truffle fried rice (there's a lot of truffle in this town). The vibe is dark, sleek and sexy, all in all a very Instagrammable place.
Noon
Let's slow things down for a bit and take a break from the hustle and bustle of Vegas at the ultra-luxurious Awana Spa. The Resorts World retreat takes a more active approach to the spa experience, and socializing is encouraged here, where the Foot Spa Lounge is equipped with TVs so you can watch plenty of games while relaxing your weary feet. Go to the Fountain of Youth, which features six vitality pools, heated tepidarium chairs, steam rooms, cool mist showers and more — all while playing metaphorical videos on a wraparound LED screen showing you a relaxing film from the tops of snow-capped peaks or rushing waterfalls.
Early in the afternoon
For a pre-dinner libation, take an elevator ride to the top of Resorts World to the Allē Lounge on 66, a dim, cozy spot with wooden floors and plush armchairs. The 66th floor lounge is a stylish place to sip craft cocktails like a Genting Old Fashioned (Highland Park 12 Year, Demerara Syrup, Angostura Aromatic Bitters and Regan's Orange Bitters). But the main attraction here is the breathtaking view of the Strip from its floor-to-ceiling windows, especially when lit up at night. There's even a telescope so you can take a closer look.
Dinner time
Be sure to reserve a table Good beforehand for a late dinner at Genting Palace, which always delights us with its authentic Chinese cuisine offerings. Its decor is old-time glamor mixed with whimsy, where you can enjoy dishes like the popular roast Peking duck (carved at the table), bird's nest soup and prawns drizzled with XO sauce. If you can't make a reservation, head to the lounge next door and enjoy delicious dim sum (try the scallop siu mai!) and fine cocktails.
Late afternoon
It's been a long (almost) 48 hours, but you should go out with a bang with a night out at Zouk Tent Nightclub. When the sun goes down, the vibes come alive, with high-tech lighting displays (watching the laser light come down from the ceiling was a highlight of our last trip) and room-shaking sound. Your favorite DJs have probably performed there and every night you could catch a set from Odesza, Deadmau5, DJ Snake and more. Afterwards, you can crash back in your Conrad suit and reflect on your successful 48 hours in Las Vegas.
