It's been an exciting year for George Birge and it doesn't look like he's slowing down anytime soon. Not only has he released new music and planned a tour, but the rising country star has teamed up with Bud Light just in time for the summer season.
As part of his collaboration, Birge and several country artists will perform for fans 21 and older Billboard presents Bud Light Backyard, a two-day concert event at Tin Roof Broadway in the midst of CMA Fest. While the singer is scheduled to take the stage alongside Dasha and LOCASH on June 8, Alana Springsteen, Corey Kent and Dalton Dover will kick off the festivities on June 7.
From the start of the Bud Light Backyard session, Birge spoke Advertising sign exclusively for the team-up, the one-year anniversary of his debut album, Your mindand what fans can expect from him this summer.
“Billboard and Bud Light are two brands that are synonymous with good times and country music, so I'm honored to be a part of this event,” Birge said of the upcoming event, admitting that he and his friends they're ready to “set free.” “My favorite part of performing at a community event like this is just bringing friends together around country music.”
The affair, which will be held at Tin Roof Broadway, is a venue Birge said he visited as a young musician when he was brand new to Nashville, revealing that he was “blown away by the songwriting and talent” in the city on The Hour.
As for his Bud Light Backyard session, Birge recalls, “It was kind of daydreaming. Perfect weather, good friends, music and stories. Nothing better than firing up the grill and relaxing with a cold Bud Light.”
On the one-year anniversary of his debut album, Your mind, behind him, George has described his last year as “the wildest” of his life. “From connecting with fans, my first hit, touring the country to venues I only dreamed of playing when I first started. It was very surreal to sit back and take a moment to be grateful for the opportunity that country music and country fans have given me,” he explained.
While his fans were enjoying a new EP, Cowboy songsin April, it looks like the singer is already lining up some new music in the near future, along with his planned tour dates. “We're hitting the road with Sam Hunt and Luke Bryan. We've got 'Cowboy Songs' climbing the charts at country radio and we might have even more music in store,” he revealed. “It's going to be a great summer!”
