Rapper’s fifth studio album One of Wun is out next Friday.
Today, Gunna announced that his upcoming One of Wun album will be released on May 10th. One of Wun is the Atlanta artist’s fifth studio album. The album artwork showcases a depiction of the fashion-forward artist draped in a sheer scarf with a white and blue floral print. Calvin Clausell Jr. helmed the artwork design, and collaborated with creative director Spike Jordan of The Genius Club as well as art director Tal Midyan. Gunna also shared a new single, “Whatsapp (Wassam)” ahead of the album’s release.
Last week, Gunna paired the album reveal with an announcement of a 16-city The Bittersweet Tour and a Leff-directed performance video for his “Bittersweet” single. “Bittersweet’s” visual features a leather-clad Gunna sitting in a chair interspersed with clips of guitar play. The song joins the Offset-featured “Prada Dem” as Gunna’s pre-release appetizers for One of Wun.
Gunna’s The Bittersweet Tour will commence in Ohio on May 4th, hit every American region, and conclude with a hometown show at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena — Minneapolis fans may be the first to hear One of Wun performed during his May 10th tour stop in the Twin City.
One of Wun follows up last June’s A Gift & a Curse, which marked his comeback from his seven-month incarceration in the YSL indictment. He was freed and presumably got to work on the album, which has amassed over one billion Spotify streams, buoyed by platinum single “fukumean.”
